Another advantage of mahogany in terms of manufacturing is the smooth wood fiber, so that it will produce beautiful motifs and textures when they are finished. The mahogany cross section is also very stable and has good shrinkage and deformation strength. The natural oil content in mahogany is also low, making it finished with duco paint without leaving a yellowish stain like teak.

Meranti wood is the most popular and most commercial type of wood, especially in Southeast Asia. Generally, this wood is used as a raw material for building construction and furniture. Meranti wood, including hardwood, which has mild to moderate weight.

This wood can be identified from its surface which is pale pink, brownish pink, dark red, to dark brownish red. The color indicates the age of Meranti wood, where the darker color means that it is getting older so the quality is getting better.

According to its strength, the types of red meranti can be classified in the strong class II-IV (up to 15 years), while the durability is classified in class III-IV (up to 10 years). There are 5 levels of wood classification, the smaller the grade level, the more durable the wood of a type of wood.
